Is this desktop any good for playing world of warcraft?

It's not bad. The weak link is the slow clock speed CPU. If you are on a strict budget, get a dual core CPU of 3.0GHz or faster. Quad cores are great, but not helpful for gaming. Clock speed is all that matters for gaming. A dual core 3.2GHz processor would be a lot better for gaming than a quad core at 2.5GHz.
